Sir Andrew and Lady Fairley Foundation

“The Fairley Foundation has been funding projects in Shepparton for over 50 years and whilst we have been very successful in many ways in ameliorating some of the social disadvantage in Shepparton, there is still much to do.

“With our experience in philanthropy, one of the abiding lessons that we have learned is that successful philanthropy requires the creation of leverage on funding that is being provided.  This is something that we have consistently sought to do in Shepparton, and have delivered multiples of two and three times from other Foundations in support of our work.

“The Fairley Foundation trustees have made a commitment to the Greater Shepparton Foundation over the next five years in order to initiate its funding and we urge you to consider making a gift to our bold vision.”
Andrew Fairley AM, Chair, Fairley Foundation

Anonymous Donor

The Foundation is very grateful for a donation of $20,000 in October 2019 for our Lift Off Scholarships Program. The scholarships supports young students from the Goulburn Valley to transition from secondary school to further education. We believe assisting students to achieve their dreams through higher education is one of the most satisfying ways we can support our young people, and in the long term our community.

Greater Shepparton City Council

An annual grant of $140,000 from Greater Shepparton City Council covers the Foundation’s operating costs to allow monies raised from other funders to be committed back into our community.

Greater Shepparton Foundation values the collaboration with council. The two organisations share many of the same core values and interest areas creating a strong and respectful partnership for the good of the community as a whole.
