MAJOR PROJECTS
Our major projects are delivering on our purpose to amplify, assist and elevate community-driven change across our region. Our project partners align with our purpose and offer the experience and expertise needed to deliver for community. By truly listening, learning and activating local expertise, we are identifying ways to strengthen our community.
OLI
The Oral Language Intervention program (OLI) is an evidence-based project providing intensive intervention from the foundation years’ to improve student language and literacy, leading to more effective learning and engagement.

WomenCAN
Based on a unique peer support model of earn and learn training developed by WomenCAN Australia with an aim to provide women with financial independence through free training and job placements whilst completing a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education.

Ace Bursaries
Bursaries were awarded to ACE College students who are undertaking pathways to employment or further studies locally. Sometimes barriers to study are too great, having access to the Bursaries is an initiative to support students remain engaged in learning and pathways to employment.

Healthy Child Co-Design
The Healthy Child Co-Design project has concluded and the final report is now available. The project was established to explore ways we can better connect our multi-cultural communities to our Maternal and Child Health system.

Jounalism Fellowship
The Regional Youth Journalism Fellowship sees up to four young people from the Goulburn Valley paid to learn and build their skills in the Shepparton News newsroom, with the support and mentorship of Melbourne Press Club journalists.

Major Projects are not intended to remain as an ongoing Greater Shepparton Foundation project. Success is measured via these projects achieving their aims and are therefore no longer required, or by partnerships being established enabling sustainable projects to be taken over by the community.
